Degree show opens this Friday

Every studio clears out for it. Three floors of work made this year, hung by the students who made it, with the makers in the room to talk about any of it.

Two shortlisted for the Kiln Prize

The Kiln Prize goes to work in fired clay by anyone under nineteen, judged blind. Two of the six on this year’s shortlist came out of our ceramics studio.

Sound artist Ada Reyes joins us

Ada Reyes joins the digital studio for six weeks, working with sixth form and Portfolio Year on field recording and composition for installation.

The spring open crit, in one room

Every studio brought its term to the main hall on Friday and stood beside it. Eleven rooms of work in one, from first-year drawings to Portfolio Year pieces, and the whole school walking between them.

Sound System turns thirty-five

The student radio station has broadcast from the sound studio every term since 1991, run entirely by students the whole time. This week it marks thirty-five years with a forty-eight hour broadcast.
